Oils4balance and Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy Massage is known as a nurturing massage using a topical preparation containing pure essential oils, extracted from aromatic plants known to enhance health and beauty, such as lavender, eucalyptus, Frankincense, peppermint, tea tree, and more.  At Massaage For Wellbeing, LLC we use high quality, pure essential oils for the physical benefits of relaxing sore muscles, for subtle balancing effects on the mind and emotions, or for just pure pleasure of the aroma.

At Massage For Wellbeing, LLC we obtain our pure essential oils from Appalachian Valley Natural Products - Anatolian Treasures and CBD oils from Ancient Healing Oils through the website

Typically we use the pure essential oils in a Swedish massage by diffusing the client’s favorite oil in the air for the aromatic benefits.  In addition, we make topical preparations of pure essential oils with the massage oil or cream.

Some of our favorite oils for massage include Birch, Chamomile, Clary-sage, Cocoa (chocolate), Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemongrass, Palo-santo, Patchouli, Peppermint, Tangerine, Wintergreen, and Ylang-ylang.   These pure essential oils are usually diluted with organic fractionated coconut oil known in the industry as a type of carrier oil.

A special service called the Raindrop Technique combines the benefits of Aromatherapy, Massage, and Tibetan Vita-flex points to bring physical, emotional, and mental balance and harmony to your body.  Nine different essential oils and oil blends are used in Raindrop.

Neuroauricular Therapy, using essential oils, is also offered to bring a sense of balance, peace and calm to you.

CBD massage oil from Industrial Hemp can be used to help reduce stress and relax tight muscles.

What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are naturally-occurring, complex substances responsible for the characteristic odor of an aromatic plant.  The odor attracts pollinating insects and repels pests, bacteria and viruses which could harm the plant.  The essential oils are found in the rind or peel of fruits such as lemon and orange, or in the roots, leaves, stems, bark, twigs, seeds, flowers, and berries of a plant.  The primary asset of essential oils is their antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties.

An essential oil is named for the plant from which it is derived, e.g. lavender, peppermint, thyme, lemon, rosehips, and frankincense.  Each oil has a range of specific historical applications for emotional balancing, for alleviating aches and pains, for recovery from injury, or for reducing the level of discomfort associated with many acute and chronic health problems.

Many pure essential oils are obtained right here in the United States and others come from approximately 30 different countries throughout the world, where a specific aromatic plant grows and the essential oil meets strict purity and therapeutic requirements.

Examples:

  • ·  Chamomile, Roman   (Anthemis nobilis)   USA
    ·  Clary Sage   (Salvia sclarea)   USA
    ·  Frankincense   (Boswellia frareana)   Oman
You probably recognize the aroma from burning Frankincense resin in a church ceremony.
    ·  High Altitude Lavender   (Lavandula angustifolia)   France
    ·  Tangerine, Dancy   (Citrus reticulata)   USA
    ·  Tea Tree   (Melaleuca alternifolia)   Australia

What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is simply the use of “Aroma” as a preventive or therapeutic initiative in maintaining or enhancing beauty and health and in treating many types of ailments both physical and emotional.  Essential oils can have subtle balancing effects on the mind and emotions.

Historically, Aromatherapy has been practiced in one form or another since the beginning of civilization.  The ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used fragrant oils for bathing, massage, and medicinal purposes.  At least 185 references to essential oils exist in the Bible.

Need for Purity
To obtain the beneficial results of aromatherapy the essential oils used must be extracted from natural plant material and grown free of herbicides and pesticides.  Solvents are  NOT  used in the extraction process of high quality essential oils and other synthetic chemicals are  NOT  added.

Note: Essential Oil Absolutes use a solvent, thus are not pure essential oils.  Hydrosols are the liquid remaining following the processing of the essential oil and take on an aroma from the plant material.

Pure essential oils should be stored in a dark location and kept out of places of high heat, such as the car in summer.  Essential oils of a blue color should be refrigerated to increase longevity.

Where Do We Obtain Our Pure Essential Oils?
Ancient Healing Oils is a family owned and operated business in Friendsville, MD.  We find that this company provides a high quality, pure essential oil at a very fair market price.  And this company values its clients, cares about customer satisfaction, and provides efficient order processing on line, via email or via phone.  This company will make up custom blends, and can obtain unusual essential oils not listed on their website.

The high quality essential oils, not only smell wonderful, but pure essential oils can provide health benefits too.  Picture Alexis, massage therapist, rubbing a carrier oil with Wintergreen or Peppermint on a sore muscle, or inhaling the aroma of Eucalyptus or Ylang-ylang.  Her very favorite two oils are the biblical oil Frankincense and the oil Palo-Santo from a tree in Ecuador.  Her young grandsons always ask for Birch, Lavender, or Peppermint oils in their bath.  Alexis says, “Aromatherapy is not only good for my family, friends, and clients; I get benefits as well just through olfactory indulgence.”

You can obtain these high quality essential oils too.  Visit the on-line store of the website
